hi, I'm haymitch
I started making art in college, though I didn't call it art at the time
every project was simply a response to the question: what should I do with my life?
after eight years of projects, I enrolled in graduate school to study creativity
then my best friend brett died by suicide, and I found myself questioning life at a deeper level than ever before
in those depths I felt a familiar-but-new impulse to create, or rather, Something Else began to create through me, as me
to better understand this transformation, I began training with contemplative teachers
I had a vision of living out my days in a creative sanctuary in the mountains, which for me represented a total commitment to my uniquely-personal, creative service to the world
my intention now is to engender a world where everyone sees themselves as artists collaborating in the unfolding of Creation
I believe the world is already incredibly interesting and full of love, and I hope you will join me in reminding us all of that often
